I'll be honest, I didn't always love traditional yoga. I enjoy cardio and breaking a sweat so the only form of yoga I practiced regularly was Bikram hot yoga.


It wasn't until the beginning of the 2020 pandemic that I started to really get into vinyasa flow. Since my spa was forced to close for months, I developed anxiety (that I didn't even really know I had). My chest felt tight, taking in deep breathes was incredibly difficult, and the sleepless nights were the absolute worst. I had to find ways to soothe myself naturally, so I began taking virtual vinyasa flow classes. This, combined with walks outside and epsom salt baths, made me feel calm again. I continued with morning flows until it all finally clicked- I understand yoga. The concept of "breath to movement" and "opening your heart" -I get it now.

If you asked me last year if I would ever want to teach a yoga class, I would've definitely said no. And now here I am present day, feeling confident, ready for change, and more alive than I've ever felt. 


The Yoga Alliance accredited 200 hour yoga teacher training program ends on Dec 31st 2020. Once certified, I will begin teaching private and group vinyasa flow classes.
